CHOICES
Visiting multiple colleges allows students to gain perspective on what kind of environment they are looking for. There's more to campus visits, however, than just being a “gut check” on whether or not a school is a good fit for a student.
ASKED
College tours allow students to ask questions, meet other prospective students and understand the college on a deeper level. How you feel about schools once you visit in person may affect the direction your college search.
VISITS
Visiting a college is one way in which applicants can demonstrate their interest in a specific institution, as they get first-hand experience of the campus, and some colleges even track whether or not students have visited.
Historically Black College & University Tour
To attend the HBCU College tour students must:
Be an active member of 100% College Prep or Step to College
Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher
Attend all HBCU Meetings list on Events Calendar
We will be visiting Virginia, Washington and Maryland and touring the following campuses:
- Virginia State
- Hampton State
- Virginia Union
- Morgan State
- Howard University
- Bowie State
- Coppin State
Cost of the Trip TBD by Oct 2023
Trip includes:
- Airfare
- Hotel Accommodations
- Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Tour Bus Ground Transportation
